Switch Skimboard Slash Octopus

Price range: $174,52 through $185,78 VAT where applicable

Sharper control. Faster reactions. Built to take hits.

The Switch Slash is a lightweight twin-tip skimboard with pronounced sidecuts for quicker turns, cleaner transitions and more precise freestyle riding. Its highly chip-resistant polyurethane edges handle rocks and obstacles far better than traditional wooden boards, while the fast base and built-in grip keep you moving and in control.

SWITCH SLASH / OCTOPUS

More control.
Your next move.

The Slash has pronounced sidecuts along both sides of the board. This makes it react faster to weight shifts and gives you more control when changing direction.

The contoured shape improves tracking and edge-to-edge response, helping with technical tricks, quick transitions and controlled carves.

It is designed for riders who want a more responsive feel than the stable, rounded Flow shape.

Shallow water. Skim pools. Your next flatland trick.

Slash Octopus: diamond grip, upper fiberglass, ash and poplar core, PU sidewalls, lower fiberglass and printed FlowSlick base.

Lightweight composite construction

The Slash combines a vertically laminated ash and poplar core with triaxial fiberglass reinforcement.

This wakeboard-inspired construction keeps the board light, responsive and durable. The fiberglass adds strength, controlled flex and pop without making the board unnecessarily heavy.

Light enough for spins and technical tricks. Strong enough for hard sessions.

01 / EDGE PROTECTION

No more fragile wooden edges

Rocks, shells, pool edges and freestyle obstacles can quickly damage a traditional wooden skimboard.

The Slash is protected by polyurethane sidewalls around the entire edge. They absorb impacts and make the board exceptionally resistant to chipping, cracking and everyday session damage.

This makes it a strong choice for frequent training, obstacle riding and less-than-perfect skim spots.

02 / SPEED

Faster slides.
Less effort.

The smooth FlowSlick base reduces drag on wet surfaces.

The board reaches speed more easily and keeps sliding for longer, giving you more distance for spins, shuvits, transitions and obstacle tricks.

Just find a suitable wet surface, drop the board and ride.

03 / CONTROL

Grip where
you need it

The diamond-textured top provides reliable traction when wet.

It helps keep your feet in place during take-offs, turns, slides and landings without covering the entire board with additional traction pads.

The surface is comfortable both barefoot and with water shoes.

BEFORE YOU RIDE

Good to know.

Which size should I choose — 87 or 101?

Choose S (87 × 41 cm) for riders below 45 kg, or M (101 × 48 cm) for riders above 45 kg. Around 45 kg or unsure? Contact us before choosing.

Does Slash Octopus have diamond grip or EVA foam?

Slash Octopus has a diamond-textured top for grip when wet. The Slash Lightning uses EVA foam instead. Both have fiberglass reinforcement above and below the wood core.

Symmetrical Twin-Tip Shape

The Slash has a symmetrical shape and can be ridden naturally in both directions.

This makes switch riding, rotations and transitions easier, while the sidecuts provide quicker response and more precise control than a traditional oval outline.

The Slash is best suited to riders who want to progress with more technical freestyle tricks and obstacle riding.

Flow or Slash?

Choose Slash for quicker reactions, sharper control and a more technical riding feel.

Choose Flow for maximum stability, smooth handling and a more predictable ride.

Both models use the same durable composite construction, polyurethane sidewalls, fast base and integrated diamond grip.

Is it made for wave riding?

No. Slash is designed for shallow water, skim pools and flatland freestyle. It is not a wave-riding board or a flotation device. Check the Safety section and instruction manual before riding.
